Integrate with McLeod LoadMaster

Samsara provides the ability to integrate with McLeod's LoadMaster software.

This integration provides the following features:

• View driver Hours of Service information collected from Samsara in LoadMaster

• View the GPS position of tractors with Samsara Vehicle Gateways installed in LoadMaster

• View the GPS position of trailers with Samsara Asset Gateways installed in LoadMaster

• Send load assignments to drivers as Samsara Routes on the Samsara Driver App

• Retrieve real-time updates from Samsara on loads being delivered / completed

• Conduct two-way messaging between Dispatch working in LoadMaster and drivers working in the Samsara Driver App

• You can choose to deploy one or more of the following feature bundles for the McLeod LoadMaster Integration:

  • See GPS positions for tractors and trailers in LoadMaster

  • See driver HOS information in LoadMaster

  • Send Dispatches from LoadMaster to Samsara and retrieve Dispatch/Load progress from Samsara into LoadMaster

Requirements

• McLeod:

  • McLeod requires that customers have purchased the Symphony module.

  • The integration supports LoadMaster versions 17.2 or greater.

  • McLeod MobileComm Interface License for Samsara

  • McLeod SOW for Implementation

• Samsara:

  • API Token with read and write scope

  • Ensure Document Upload Limit is high enough to handle 4+ documents per route within a 24 hour period (adjust Read/Write Bounds under Settings > Limits [Super User] > Models)

Deployment

McLeod built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact McLeod Support.

1. Contact your McLeod rep to request the Samsara - LoadMaster integration.

   Complete any license requirements and SOW for implementation.

2. Create a Samsara API Token named McLeod LoadMaster Integration with the following granular scopes:

   • Addresses: Read and Write Addresses

   • Compliance: Read ELD Compliance Settings (US)

   • Driver Workflow:

     • Read and Write Documents

     • Read and Write Messages

     • Read and Write Routes

   • Drivers: Read and Write Drivers

   • Maintenance: Read and Write DVIRs

   • Safety & Cameras: Read Safety Events & Scores

   • Vehicles:

     • Read Vehicles

     • Read Vehicle Statistics

   • Trailers: Read Trailers

3. Send the token to your McLeod representative and request the Samsara integration.

   McLeod Support will configure the account and guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration.
