Integrate with BOLT TMS

View Samsara HOS and GPS positions in BOLT, dispatch routes to drivers and capture job updates, and retrieve relevant data for driver pay (simple and activity-based) from driver Documents.

The integration includes the following features:

• HOS sync: assign loads to drivers in BOLT based on Samsara location updates and driver duty status

• GPS location and breadcrumbs: enable automated delivery ETA emails

• Driver workflow implementation: dispatch routes to drivers

• Job updates: Automate arrival and departure notifications in BOLT

• Driver Document submission sync with BOLT

• Two-way driver/dispatcher messaging

• BOLT: None

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read and write scopes

Deployment

BOLT built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact BOLT Support.

1. Create a Samsara API Token named BOLT Integration with the following granular scopes:

   • Addresses: Read Addresses

   • Compliance: Read ELD Compliance Settings (US)

   • driver Workflow:

     • Read Documents

     • Read Messages

     • Write Messages

     • Read Routes

     • Write Routes

   • Drivers: Read Drivers

   • Equipment: Read Equipment

   • Vehicles:

     • Read Vehicles

     • Read Vehicle Statistics

2. Send the token to your BOLT representative and request the Samsara integration.

   BOLT Support will configure the account and guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration.
