To reduce driver error and encourage drivers to select vehicles in close proximity, you can restrict vehicle selection based on location. After this setting is enabled, drivers are encouraged to select vehicles that are within a predefined radius from the driver location. You can use this settings along with a Driver App Workflow to prevent drivers from selecting vehicles outside their proximity.
To enable location-based vehicle selection in the Samsara Driver App:

Select the Settings icon (
) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings. -
Select Fleet > Driver App > General.

Enable the option to Restrict vehicle selection based on location.
By default, drivers are limited to a vehicle selection within a radius of 100 meters from their position. You can also expand the selection radius to 500 meters from the driver position.

Ensure the changes are correct before you navigate away from the Driver App settings.
Any changes you make to the Driver App settings save automatically.
