Time on Site Report

The Time on Site Report provides location-based activity to help you gain visibility into the efficiency of your fleet and to investigate customer detention time and unauthorized driver use of vehicles.

To provide the most accurate data, the report:

• Determines all visits as when an asset is on site and it remains within the location geofence for more than two minutes. The location accuracy for the Time on Site Report is dependent on the gateway check-in frequency.

• Updates every 3-6 hours to calculate and display recent location activity data using the last known Vehicle Gateway (VG) and Asset Gateway (AG) location data to determine whether an asset is on site.

Note

Vehicles that are left on site and are powered off for longer than 15 minutes can take 24-48 hours for Samsara to calculate and display the time-on-site data.

To access the Time on Site Report, select Reports ( ) > Activity > Time on Site. To view a time of interest, use the date selector to narrow the time window of the results. The Time on Site summary provides the following location-based reports by address or asset:

Report	Description
Sites in the Address Book	Highlights the sites in your address book that your assets most frequently visited and the average time at that site. Select a site name to view the Address Site Report for that location. Note When you add a new address to the Address Book, the new address only displays for future time on site entries and is does not reflect on prior entries. The Sites In Address Book report takes 3-6 hours to reflect the addition.
Assets	Lists your assets for which you can to view the Asset Site Report for that asset.
Address	Lists all addresses saved in your address book. Select an address name to view the Address Site Report for that site in your Address Book.
Unknown Sites	Highlights the sites that are not in your address book that your assets most frequently visited and the average time at that site. Click View Details to view the Site Details (address description and nearby location suggestions) and optionally add the site to your address book. A recently added address won't record any visits older than 7 days before the address was created. Saving the address will only take into account site visits from the last 7 days (168 hours).

To export any type of Time on Site Report in a comma separate values (CSV) or XLSX format or to schedule an email report for additional data analysis, click more actions (...) and select the action from the menu.

Address Site Report

The Address Site report lists all assets that frequented an Address Book location during a selected time period. For additional information, you can select each asset to view current asset location information.

The Address Site Report displays the most recent site activity by asset. For each asset, the report displays the following information:

Field	Description
Asset	Name of the asset that visited the site
Driver	Name of the driver assigned to the asset that entered the location geofence
Arrival	Timestamp of the asset entering the geofence of the site
Departure	Timestamp of the asset exiting the geofence of the site
Time On Site	Total time the asset spent inside a site geofence. An asset is on site when it remains within the location geofence for more than two minutes. If the asset leaves the geofence and returns within five minutes, the Time on Site report aggregates the visits.
GPS Distance Traveled	Total distance traveled by the asset while inside the geofence of a site
Engine Hours	Total asset engine hours while inside the geofence of a site

Asset Site Report

You can compare the most frequented locations of an asset in the Asset Site report. The report provides a donut graph that depicts the distribution of time that the asset spent in all site locations and a detailed log of the most recent site visits to both known and unknown address:

For each visit, the Time on Site asset report displays the following information:

Field	Description
Location	Address name from address book, if known, or nearest address by GPS coordinates
Driver	Driver name assigned to the asset that entered the location geofence
Arrival	Timestamp of the asset entering the geofence of the site
Departure	Timestamp of the asset exiting the geofence of the site
Time on Site	Total time the asset spent inside a site’s geofence. An asset is on site when it remains within the location geofence for more than two minutes. Note When the asset is inside multiple overlapping address geofences, the time on site is recorded for all of those addresses. This can cause the sum of the time on site to exceed the selected time range.
GPS Distance Traveled	Total distance traveled by the asset while inside the geofence of a site
Engine Hours	Total asset engine hours while inside the geofence of a site
