To share information about a vehicle's location or to provide real-time ETAs with staff, customers, or clients that do not have access to the Samsara Dashboard, you can create a Live Sharing link. You can create Live Sharing links to share information about:
Assets: Share the current GPS location and status of all vehicles, a set of tagged vehicles, or a single-vehicle.
Location: Share all route stop visits for an Address Book location. Live Share will list route stops from the scheduled status all the way through completion. You can also view details to see the route stop Live Sharing link associated with that stop.
Recurring Route: Share the progress of routes that repeat regularly such as weekly street sweeping, daily bus routes, or weekly deliveries. Live Share will show the progress of a route on a real-time map, and provide up-to-the-minute ETAs to display when the vehicle will arrive at the next stop.
Route Stop: Share the current status for a particular route stop (scheduled, en-route, arrived, and departed) and provide a real-time map of the vehicle after it is en route. Live Sharing links for Route Stops are created from existing routes from Dispatch > Routes.
You can create a Live Sharing link for an Asset, Location, or Recurring Route from Settings.
Select Settings (
) > Links & Sharing > Live Sharing.-
Create Link.

Select the tab corresponding to the type of Live Sharing link you want to create and proceed to create your shareable link.

You can also create Vehicle Live Sharing links directly from the vehicle page by clicking on any vehicle from Fleet Overview and then clicking Live Share near the top of the vehicle information.
Samsara automatically creates Live Sharing links for Route Stops. These links are accessible from Dispatch > Routes. This shareable link provides real-time vehicle GPS data if the vehicle is En Route or will show the destination if the route is Skipped or Scheduled.
Select Dispatch > Routes.
Select a specific route from the list.
Locate or click the stop in that route for which you want to share the status.
Click Live Share in the Live Share field of the stop or on the top right of the stop details page.
Copy Link to share.
Click OK when finished.
