To view a summary of the hours that your drivers spent in different statuses, view the Duty Status Summary Report (Compliance > Duty Status Summary).
In some cases, the status is manually selected by the driver using the Samsara Driver App as they perform their driving duties throughout their shift. With Auto-Duty, Samsara automatically logs drivers with a driving status if they are logged in and move more than 5mph. The 5mph threshold is part of the ELD mandate and cannot be adjusted.
-
When these statuses are enabled, drivers can set the Yard Move or Personal Conveyance status before moving the vehicle so that the time is not logged as Drivetime.
-
Drivers will automatically be put into On-Duty status only after they stop moving their vehicle for 5 minutes.
