The following table describes the features that you can use to examine camera footage:

1. Stream overlays |
Display stream overlays for activity of interest. Options are Motion Visualization, Bounding Boxes (Beta), and Areas of Interest. |
2. Search |
Search footage for motion or a person. For more information, see Search Camera Footage for Activity. |
3. Areas of interest and alerts |
Create an area of interest to Isolate and monitor activity in a specific area such as a doorway or driveway. You can also create alerts for events that occur in the area of interest. |
4. Back |
Return the the previous page. |
5. Activity timeline |
Pinpoint activity of interest for the selected time period. Beneath the timeline, you can also select specific time segments for which you want to analyze footage. After you select a point of interest, additional controls display that allow you to skip to the next activity, pause the footage, or skip forward or backward in 15 second increments. |
6. Camera name |
Name of the camera. If a descriptive name is not provided, the name is the IP address of the camera. |
7. Time |
Time at which the footage took place. By default, the footage displays the live stream, however, you can use the arrows or select the time to choose another date on the calendar. |
8. Pause |
Pause the video playback. |
9. Activity skip |
Jump to the previous or next activity detected in the camera footage. |
10. 15-second skip |
Rewind or fast forward in 15-second increments. |
11. Activity filter |
Display activity of interest along the activity bar. Options are motion or people. If Samsara identifies the selected activity, the time bar displays segment blocks during which the activity is present. |
12. More actions |
Change camera resolution and other settings. You can also create a shareable link to the live camera footage or to footage from a selected time. For more information, see Download and Share Clips. |
13. Speed |
(In Beta) Slow or increase the speed of video playback. For more information, see Step Through Camera Footage. |
14. Zoom |
Zoom in or out on camera footage. You can also double click a video to zoom in. |
