Integrate with SpeedGauge

Samsara provides the ability to integrate with SpeedGauge. The integration pulls in Samsara GPS information into SpeedGauge so you can set granular speeding alerts.

Requirements

• SpeedGauge: None

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

Deployment

SpeedGauge built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact SpeedGauge Support.

1. Create a Read Samsara API Token named SpeedGauge Integration with the following granular scopes:

   • Drivers: Read Drivers

   • Equipment: Read Equipment Statistics

   • Safety & Cameras: Read Safety Events & Scores

   • Setup & Administration: Read Tags

   • Vehicles:

     • Read Vehicles

     • Read Vehicle Statistics

   For more information on creating an API token, see Get Started with the Samsara API.

2. Find your Group ID at the bottom of the Settings > API Tokens page in the Samsara dashboard.

3. Send the token and your Group ID to your SpeedGauge representative and request the Samsara integration.

   SpeedGauge will configure the account.
