Integrate with Distinctive Systems' Coach Manager (by Initek Consulting)

Initek Consulting's integration for Samsara and Distinctive Systems Coach Manager sends routes booked in Coach Manager to Samsara and processes actuals and route alerts.

Note

This integration is owned and managed by Initek Consulting, a third-party System Integrator. There is a deployment fee and monthly fee for this integration.

The integration includes the following features:

• Create routes in Samsara from Coach Manager bookings

• Retrieve route actuals data from Samsara (job status updates, vehicle trips, HOS logs) to calculate actuals in Coach Manager

• SMS alerts for dispatchers based on Samsara job updates (for example, when a driver or vehicle is not at the start location at the estimated time)

Requirements

• Coach Manager:

  • Coach Manager v4.92.01 or later

  • Actuals Link: This must be enabled by Distinctive Systems Coach Manager Support

• Initek Consulting: License agreement

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read and write scopes

Deployment

Initek Consulting, a third-party developer built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact Initek Consulting Support.

1. Create a Samsara API Token named Coach Manager Integration with the following granular scopes:

   • Compliance:

     • Read ELD Compliance Settings (US)

     • Read ELD Hours of Service

   • Drivers: Read Drivers

   • Driver Workflow

     • Read Routes

     • Write Routes

   • Equipment: Read Equipment Statistics

   • Setup & Administration: Read Gateways

   • Vehicles

     • Read Vehicles

     • Read Vehicle Statistics

     • Read Vehicle Trips

2. Send the token to your Initek Consulting representative and request the Samsara integration.

   Initek Consulting Support will configure the account.
