You can deem a driver eligible to claim the Deferral of Off Duty Exemption (Canada South) §SOR/2005-313 -16. Claiming this exemption has the following affects:

Allows a driver to indicate that they are deferring all, or a portion, of the two hours of off duty time to the next day

A banner appears on the HOS log to highlight the exemption

Claimed and unclaimed events will add a remark in the HOS log
