Sensor Health Report

The Sensor Health report enables you to quickly gauge the health of your sensors and determine when action is required. The report includes all deployed Environmental Monitors (EMs), Cargo Monitors, and Door Monitors. For each sensor, the report displays information and recommendations regarding sensor battery and connectivity status.

To view the report, navigate to Reports ( ) > Devices > Gateway Health and click on the Sensors report. To view the report for a smaller subset of sensors, you can use the search, Tags, or filter by Date using the date selector.

For each sensor, the report displays the following information:

Field	Description
Health Status	Battery status of the sensor: Connected Low sensor battery Requires investigation
Recommended Action	For health states other than connected, the report recommends a corresponding action you should take to resolve a non-connected status. If the Health Status is Low sensor battery, it is recommended to replace the sensor battery. If the Health Status Requires investigation, this indicates the sensor has been offline for 14 or more days after the last known cellular signal and battery level were healthy. If the issue persists, contact Support for assistance.
Name	Name of the sensor.
Signal	Indicates whether the sensor was recently connected or if it has been offline. If it has recently been offline, the report indicates the last time the sensor uploaded its data to the Samsara cloud.
Paired Asset	Identifies the gateway to which the sensor is paired. If the sensor has not been pinned, the report identifies the gateway that last uploaded the sensor’s data as the paired asset.
Last Known Location	Indicates the last known location where the sensor successfully uploaded its data.
Battery State	Indicates the battery has a low battery level. If the battery is low, replace the sensor battery. If no indicator is present, the battery life is high.
