Integrate with SFMTA

Automate required reporting to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority (SFMTA) using GPS to record public stops used by bus fleets.

Note

This integration is owned and managed by SwingDev, a third-party System Integrator on the Samsara Experts Marketplace. There is a deployment fee for this integration.

The integration includes the following features:

• SwingDev generates the daily standard Commuter Shuttle Program stops report for SFMTA using Samsara GPS data and SFMTA designated stops/geofences.

Requirements

• SFMTA:

  • Existing relationship with SwingDev. If you don't have a relationship, contact SwingDev or email [e-mail] for a quote.

  • ShuttleCompanyId provided by SFMTA

  • Signed acknowledgement of the SFMTA Commuter Shuttle Program API Specification

  Note

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

Deployment

SwingDev, a third-party developer on the Samsara Experts Marketplace, built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started.

1. Create a Read Samsara API Token named SFMTA Integration with the following granular scopes in the Vehicles category:

   • Read Vehicles

   • Read Vehicle Statistics

2. Send the token and SFMTA ShuttleCompanyId to your SwingDev representative and request the Samsara integration.

   SFMTA Support will configure the account to automatically share the stop usage report to SFMTA.
