Integrate with CrossPoint

Easily combine Samsara GPS data with CrossPoint’s IoT rule engine to automate data-driven actions and real-time alerts for full operational awareness.

Samsara fleets can enable use cases such as:

• Automatically turn on lights, open gates, and send HTTP requests based on vehicle location (for example entering/exiting geofence locations or reaching a designated distance away from a destination)

• Trigger verbal notifications when your trucks are arriving to be offloaded (for example using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant)

Requirements

• CrossPoint

  • A working iOS device with access to the CrossPoint App or Sites

  • A working Wi-Fi network that is configured and positioned to communicate reliably with the smart device(s)

  • Always-on broadband Internet access in the location of your smart devices

  • Working smart devices that are compatible with CrossPoint

  • A registered CrossPoint account in good standing

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

Deployment

CrossPoint built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. If there are any issues, please contact CrossPoint Support.

1. Create a Samsara API Token named CrossPoint Integration with the Read Vehicle Statistics scope in the Vehicles category.

   For more information on creating an API token, see Get Started with the Samsara API.

2. Send the token to your CrossPoint representative at [e-mail] and request the Samsara integration.

   CrossPoint Support will configure the account.
