Integrating with WEX EFS SecureFuel and Fuel Tax Reporting

Overview

GPS location details are shared with WEX’s EFS SecureFuel solution to validate vehicle location and tank level, and GPS and ODO are shared with EFS Fuel Tax Reporting for IFTA reporting. (Note: this is not a fuel card integration.)

The integration includes the following features, depending on which EFS products are used:

EFS SecureFuel

• Proximity Validation a​llows the customer to either prevent purchases where the truck is in a different location or allow the purchases to occur and report the discrepancy for further review.

• Tank Level Authorization helps the customer to either restrict fuel purchases to the maximum remaining tank volume or allow the total purchase and report the discrepancy for further review.

• Alerts can be set up via text or email by the customer when irregular purchasing activity is identified

EFS Fuel Tax Reporting

• Sync GPS and ODO from Samsara with WEX EFS for IFTA reporting

System Requirements

WEX EFS

• Customers must have signed up for the WEX EFS SecureFuel / Fuel Tax Reporting service. Reach out to your WEX rep to learn more.

Samsara 

• Generate a Full Admin API Token named "WEX SecureFuel" for the integration (for more on how to create an API token, see here)

Deployment

Provide the Samsara API Token to [e-mail]. Your WEX rep will help establish the Samsara feed into SecureFuel / Fuel Tax Reporting.
