The Maintenance Status page enables you to monitor the current status of your fleet's maintenance and effortlessly manage important compliance documents. For your convenience, information relating to compliance—such as DVIRs, invoices, and service logs—is stored under a centralized location within the Maintenance section in the Samsara dashboard.
From the Maintenance Status page, you can:
To view up-to-date information on your fleet's maintenance, use the Maintenance Status report:

Select Maintenance (
) from the Samsara dashboard.

To find a specific asset, use the search bar or apply Tags.
You can also narrow the scope of results to only show assets with reported faults, by selecting Faults.

(Optional) To customize the fields, select the columns manager located next to the search bar.
You can reorder and choose the fields you want the report to display.

Select the name of a specific asset to view an in-depth report that includes the current status and location of the asset.
The Maintenance Status report provides the following information for each asset:

Current Driver |
The name of the current driver assigned to the vehicle. |
Make/Model |
The vehicle make and model. |
Battery Voltage |
Voltage of the vehicle battery as reported from the vehicle gateway. |
Engine Hours |
Total number of hours the engine has been running. |
Odometer (Mi) |
Total distance traveled by the vehicle and engine, in miles. |
Check Engine Light |
Status of the check engine light. |
Fuel Level |
The fuel level of the vehicle. |
State of Charge |
Level of charge in an electric battery (for electric and hybrid vehicles). |
DEF Level |
The diesel exhaust fluid level. |
Defects |
The open defects count. |
Faults |
Asset Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) reported to your gateway. |
The Maintenance Status Summary displays maintenance information in one place. To access the summary, select Maintenance () and then select any row for the vehicle maintenance status summary.
The Maintenance Status Summary includes the following information:

Unresolved defects from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).

Active engine faults

Tire faults (if the vehicle is equipped with Samsara compatible tire pressure monitoring systems)

Upcoming preventative maintenance scheduled items
The Fault History tab enables you to search for a fault code and navigate historical faults by using the date selector. To view vehicle fault history, select a row within the Maintenance Status page, then select Fault History.
