The Camera Health report (Reports ( ) > Devices > Camera Health) enables you to quickly gauge the health of your dash cams and camera connectors to determine when action is required. To ensure dash cams can detect AI events accurately, in addition to the health statuses displayed in the Camera Health Overview, the Samsara dashboard can also surface an issue with detection, such as a misalignment or an obstruction to the dash cam view.
To view the Camera Health reports, you must be a Full Admin or have a custom role with the Safety permission to view Camera Health.
The following table provides a summary of dash cam misalignment and obstruction health statuses and the recommended troubleshooting actions:
