From the Safety tab of the Driver Portal, you can view your complete safety dashboard. Included in your dashboard are:
By default, the Safety dashboard displays data over the past 30 days. If desired, you can choose a custom time range using the date selector at the top of the page.
You can also print the current view of the safety dashboard using the Print option under the more actions ( ••• ) menu to the right of the Safety Score Calculation link.
From the Safety tab on the Driver Portal, you can view Safety Score details. The Safety Score is calculated using a mix of Total Harsh Events, Total Miles Driven, Total Time-Driven, and time Over Speed Limit. You can read more about how the Driver Safety Score is calculated from the link in the top right of the Safety Score link at the top of the page.
The Safety Score displays the current calculation as compared to the previous time period and identifies any change in the points.
Below the score you can see a graph of score changes over time and additional statistics for trips taken during that time period.
To the right of the safety score on the Safety tab of the Driver Portal you can view a summary of behavioral insights. These insights identify key driving behaviors detected by Samsara.
From the Safety > Risk Factors report on the Driver Portal, you can view behavior and score trends for safety behaviors.
By default, the Driver Portal displays events and statistics for the past 30 days. To view an alternate time frame, you can use the date selector at the top of the page. You can also expand a risk factor category to view information about the individual risk behaviors and analyze the score breakdown for each behavior type.
For each behavior, you can view the following information:
Safety events contribute to your safety score.
From the Safety > Safety Events tab on the Driver Portal, you can view a historical log of all safety events detected by Samsara. To filter events, you can use the Search to find events by a full or partial vehicle name. You can also use the Search or filters to display events by Event Type.

Speeding events contribute to your safety score.
From the Safety > Speeding Events tab on the Driver Portal, you can view a historical log of all speeding events detected by Samsara. To filter events, you can use the Search to find events by a full or partial trip address.
For each event, you can view the following information:

Total percentage of trip time during which severe speeding was detected. |
Speed severity is determined by the duration of time spent speeding and speed (mph or kmph) that exceeds the speed limit. The duration ends when you return to or slow to a speed below the speed limit. The definition of what constitutes the different speeding severity levels is defined by your fleet administrator.
