Integrate with Navistar OnCommand Connection

Samsara provides the ability to integrate with Navistar's OnCommand Connection (OCC) platform. This integration enables you to reduce the vehicle downtime of your fleet by managing maintenance through the OCC dashboard.

Requirements

• Navistar OnCommand: OCC portal login. If you do not have an OCC login, you can create one here.

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read and write scopes

  The token must be greater than version 2019_12_12 and be provided to Navistar.

Deployment

1. Create a Samsara API Token named Navistar OCC Integration with the following granular scopes in the OEM Integrations category:

   • Read OEM Integrations

   • Write OEM Integrations

   For more information on creating an API token, see Get Started with the Samsara API.

2. Send the token to your Navistar representative and request the Samsara integration.

   Navistar Support will configure the account.

3. Navigate to Navistar OCC.

4. Enter Samsara as your TSP and provide your API token.

Troubleshooting

If your vehicle is not showing up in OCC:

• Check that you've registered each VIN in the OCC platform.

• Check that each vehicle in Samsara that you would like to sync has a valid VIN registered to it. You can manually enter in VINs through the dashboard.
