Integrate with Trimble TMT

Integrate with Trimble’s TMT Fleet Maintenance solution for end-to-end DVIR workflows.

Note

This integration is owned and managed by Global Logistics Consulting Services (GLCS), a third-party System Integrator on the Samsara Experts Marketplace. There is a deployment fee and monthly fee for this integration.

The integration includes the following features:

• Two-way DVIR workflow: Automated updates within TMT Fleet Maintenance for defects submitted by drivers in the Samsara Driver App. Similarly, resolved defects update automatically update in Samsara.

• Vehicle measures sync with TMT including GPS location, fault codes, engine run time, and odometer readings.

Requirements

• Trimble:

  • TMT version 19.1 or later

  • TMT API License

• GLCS:

  • GLCS subscription agreement

  • A Windows Server to install GLCS Channel (a light weight Windows service)

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read and write scopes

Deployment

GLCS, a third-party developer on the Samsara Experts Marketplace, built this integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact Trimble Support.

1. Create a Samsara API Token named Trimble Integration with the following granular scopes:

   • Drivers: Read Drivers

   • Maintenance:

     • Read Defects

     • Write Defects

     • Read DVIRs

   • Setup & Administration: Read Users

   • Vehicles:

     • Read Vehicles

     • Read Vehicle Statistics

2. Send the token to your Trimble representative and request the Samsara integration.

   Trimble Support will configure the account and guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration.
