Integrate with UpKeep

With the UpKeep integration, vehicle diagnostics and geofence locations are sent to UpKeep to automatically sync asset data and trigger work orders.

The integration includes the following features:

• Odometer readings and engine hours sync: Add meter reading in UpKeep and trigger recurring inspections

• Fault code alerts: Trigger inspections and work orders

• Geofence alerts: Update the parent location of assets and trigger work orders in UpKeep

• Truck locations: Update real-time asset locations

Requirements

• UpKeep: Business Plus Plan to use the UpKeep API

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

Deployment

UpKeep partnered with SwingDev, a third-party developer on the Samsara Experts Marketplace, to build this integration. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, contact UpKeep Support.

1. Create a Read Samsara API Token named UpKeep Integration with the following granular scopes:

   • Addresses: Read Addresses

   • Equipment:

     • Read Equipment

     • Read Equipment Statistics

   • Vehicles:

     • Read Vehicles

     • Read Vehicle Statistics

2. Send the token to your UpKeep representative and request the Samsara integration.

   UpKeep will coordinate the deployment process with SwingDev and will guide you through any remaining steps to enable the integration.
