Seamlessly integrate your Samsara eDVIR defect data with the Ryder maintenance platform to stay compliant, streamline maintenance, track repairs, and maximize uptime.
The integration includes the following features:

Pre and Post Trip defects reported in the Samsara DVIR workflow for vehicles and trailers are automatically synced to the Ryder maintenance system, and repairs made by the Ryder shop are synced back to Samsara with info such as resolution time, status, and mechanic notes.

Whether you use Ryder to lease vehicles or provide contract maintenance, your drivers will save time, and your fleet will stay compliant with DVIR regulations.
Note
When defects on an Unsafe DVIR are deemed not necessary to be resolved by Ryder, you will need to acknowledge and resolve those defects within the Samsara dashboard before a driver can operate the vehicle. This ensures compliance with with FMCSA regulations (section 396.12c).

Ensure that your Samsara eDVIR defect types and templates are registered in Ryder systems to process incoming defects.

If using Trailers, gather Ryder trailer VINs and upload them in Samsara (Assets > Trailers > Trailer Settings > User Notes) to enable the trailer eDVIR workflow.

RyderConnect built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact VENDOR Support.

Create a Mechanic user for Ryder (RyderConnect_Onboarding@ryder.com) to post defect resolution.

In your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Settings > Apps.

Search for and then select
RyderConnect - eDVIR
to install the app.If applicable, ensure that the selected tags include all applicable Ryder assets.
Samsara generates an API token with the appropriate scopes.
Note
The app requires specific API read/write scopes and permissions, which are controlled by Ryder.

Send the API token to RyderConnect (RyderConnect_Onboarding@ryder.com) and request the Samsara integration.
The RyderConnect onboarding team will follow-up with next steps on testing and activation.

Ensure the Tags associated with the Ryder app are mapped to all applicable Ryder assets.
