Integrate with Per Diem Plus Fleets

Per Diem Plus FLEETS integration with Samsara automates the administration of transportation per diem.

The integration includes the following features:

• Utilization of Samsara gateway data to establish time, date, and place substantiation as required by the IRS

• Tracking of each qualifying full and partial day of travel in the U.S. and Canada

• Trip start and finish tracked automatically for per diem calculation

• Solo and team drivers support

Requirements

• Per Diem Plus: Monthly subscription for Per Diem Plus FLEETS

• Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

Deployment

Per Diem Plus built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact Per Diem Plus Support.

1. Contact Per Diem Plus at [e-mail] to create your fleet account. Share the following:

   • Fleet manager(s) contact information including email address

   • Payroll report frequency (e.g. weekly, Sun-Sat)

   • Tax home geofence radius (5, 10, 15 or 25 mi)

   • One or more email addresses or an FTP site where automated reports are to be sent

2. In your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Settings > Apps.

3. Search for and then select Per Diem Plus Fleets to install the app.

4. Enter your Samsara API token in your Per Diem Plus Fleets account under the Integration Manager view.

   The integration will automatically sync driver data (including terminal addresses). Per Diem Plus will then begin receiving location data to automatically calculate per diem for fleet drivers.
